Update: The Darkness have announced tour dates in Dublin and Belfast.
British rock band The Darkness have announced their upcoming album Easter Is Cancelled.
Easter Is Cancelled is The Darkness' sixth studio album, following 2017's Pinewood Smile, and will be released on October 4. The band revealed their upcoming album in a humorous YouTube video, in which lead singer Justin Hawkins strolls through the English countryside in full costume and shares the band's intentions.
"As power-hungry clowns cast a shadow of despair across this land, our people cower in tumble-down hovels…We are men in tight costumes and we are ready to fight with every weapon that the forefathers have bequeathed: The guitar axe, the drum hammer, the bejewelled codpiece, the banshee wail of righteous anger," says Hawkins in the video.
