3D glasses at the ready...
Broadcaster Dave Fanning will leap out of your TV and into your living room this month when he co-presents coverage from the Isle of Wight festival for Sky Arts this June (10–12), the world’s first rock festival to be broadcast live in 3D.
The veteran Irish broadcaster will join forces with Zoe Ball to bring viewers all the action from the famous festival in glorious 3D. Kicking off June 10, Sky 3D will broadcast two hours of the festival featuring the biggest acts, including Kings Of Leon, Foo Fighters, Kasabian, Plan B and more. Sky Arts 1 will also run a live simulcast from the festival over the three days.
"I'm really looking forward to the Isle of Wight Festival," said Dave. "Sky Arts is super. I've had a couple of interview series running regularly on the channel over the past few years and I love the idea of six hours of TV in 3D from a great three-day festival. And working with Zoe Ball? That's pretty cool!"
