The former Spiders From Mars man sadly passed away yesterday...
David Bowie has paid tribute to his former bassist Trevor Bolder, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer yesterday (Tuesday), aged 62.
"Trevor was a wonderful musician and a major inspiration for whichever band he was working with. But he was foremostly a tremendous guy, a great man", Bowie wrote on his official website, [link]www.davidbowie.com[/link]
Bolder was a member of Bowie's legendary backing band, Spiders From Mars from 1971, along with guitarist Mick Ronson and drummer Mick Woodmansey. As such, he featured on iconic alums like The Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars and Aladdin Sane, among others.
