The announcement was made at 1pm at the Metropole Hotel in Cork.
Set to perform three nights at the 3Arena and one night at the SSE in Belfast next year, as part of White Ladder 20th Anniversary tour, David Gray has now announced a major performance at Irish Independent Park, Cork on Saturday, June 20.
There's evidently still a massive appetite for the 'Babylon' singer in Ireland after all these years.
Throughout the upcoming tour, fans can expect to hear White Ladder (the biggest-selling album of all time in Ireland) recreated by Gray with all the original band members, as well as all the original equipment. A selection of Gray's other hits will also feature on the night.
To coincide with the tour, Gray is also releasing an expanded 20th anniversary edition of White Ladder on February 14. Available on CD, digital, and for the first time ever, vinyl, the newly remastered album will also feature unreleased rarities and b-sides - including the rare track 'Over My Head'.
"It’s the 20th anniversary of White Ladder, a unique record with its own remarkable history," Gray announced in a statement. "Jammed full with big, open hearted songs and flooded with a raw emotional energy. It’s an album that came from nowhere to steal the hearts of millions all over the world, completely transforming my life in the process.

"Twenty years on and it feels like White Ladder is just as alive for people now as it was back then - so to celebrate this milestone, I will be releasing a special anniversary version of the album and assembling all the original band members with all the original equipment, in order to take White Ladder out on the road and recreate the record in its entirety."
Tickets for David Gray's Irish Independent Park gig go on sale on Friday, November 15, at 9am. See Ticketmaster for more information.
