The announcement comes weeks after stating he was leaving Dublin due to the rental situation and high costs of living.
David Kitt will be playing The Sugar Club on Thursday 18th October following sold out shows at The Button Factory and around the country. He released his eighth album Yous in March of this year to critical acclaim.
The singer-songwriter took to Facebook earlier this year, explaining that extortionate rents and a high cost of living had forced him out of Dublin City. The post garnered much sympathy and frustration at the current situation for creatives in the city.
Kitt will be releasing a limited run of a six-track EP titled Like Lightning through All City Records on 10" vinyl and digital this Friday 14th September, and the show at The Sugar Club will see him play these new songs alongside some old favourites. The EP is available for pre-order now from All City Records on Crow Street, Temple Bar, and from David Kitts Bandcamp.
