David Long and Shane O’Neill have shared the music video for 'Moll & Zeis', the title track from their brand new collaboration album.

The 'Moll & Zeis' visuals are comprised of movie footage from legendary 1946 flick A Matter Of Life And Death. Written and directed by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, the film starred David Niven, Kim Hunter and Marius Goring.

Released on Country Pylon Recordings, the duo's new LP saw the singer-songwriters record the album via email.

Moll & Zeis has a song about the death of an American airman in Afghanistan, one about Hermann Hesse’s book The Painter, another about a refugee who prefers to walk the roads alone, some existential musings on life, and a couple of instrumentals.

David Long was a member of indie-rock group Into Paradise, who released two albums and a few EPs on the legendary British independent label Setanta Records and the major label, Ensign. Shane O’Neill was part of Blue In Heaven, who released two albums on Island Records. The pair have known each other since the age of six or seven, when they knocked over Shane’s TV set fighting over which channel to watch.

Their first band was a three piece group called “amuse” (small a); featuring David on bass and vocals, Shane on guitar, and Dave Clarke (now Hothouse Flowers) on drums. They played some gigs around Dublin, including one gig where David put down his bass and walked out the main door and got the bus home. After playing on for five minutes, the other two realised he was probably not coming back. For some reason, after taking up a fan's offer to come stay with her in Oxford for a few months, the band split up. Long and O'Neill reunited back in 1996, recording an album as Supernaut.

Their latest creative offering also features the powerful visuals for 'Earth Moves', and demonstrates admirable synergy from the indie-rock pair.
