34 years ago the King of Pop received a much deserved a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. To commemorate the day, we look at MJ's most iconic performances over the years.
On this day in 1984, Michael Jackson received a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star. Potentially one of the most deserving artists to receive a star, he remains a source of inspiration for artists around the world to this day.
Jackson was named Forbes' highest-paid dead celebrities list of 2018. According to NME, the late singer is earning more now than when he was alive, hauling $400 million in this year alone. The King of Pop passed away on 25 June 2009, as tributes poured in for Jackson from Madonna, Slash, Justin Timberlake and many more.
Hot Press Editor Niall Stokes offered his tribute saying, "It is a sad end to what was by any standards an extraordinary and record-breaking career. Michael Jackson was up there among the biggest selling artists of all time, which is all the more remarkable because in fact he released a relatively small number of records as a solo artist."
To mark this day, we look back at Michael Jackson's 5 most iconic performances.
