Irish rock duo Dea Matrona have announced a UK and Ireland headline tour for May and June 2023. It marks their first full jaunt of the UK for the rising band.
Tickets go on sale this Friday (3rd March) at 10am here. The news comes after the release of their latest single ‘Get My Mind Off’, which is out now.
Kicking off on Tuesday 16th May at Glasgow’s The Hug & Pint, the tour will see the band bring their infectious live set to audiences across the country. The tour will also see shows in Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Nottingham, London, Bristol, Derby, Dublin and to conclude, a hometown show at Mandela in Belfast on Saturday 3rd June.
“We really loved being out on the road and it will be extra special to come back to the UK in May for our own headline shows," the band said today. "We’ve got a lot up our sleeve for these gigs and are very excited to make our debut in some new cities. Mandela Hall will be our biggest and only Belfast show of 2023.”

Dea Matrona comprises two school friends, Mollie McGinn and Orlaith Forsythe, who grew up busking to their favourite rock ‘n’ roll anthems on the streets of Belfast. Covering the likes of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Whole Lotta Love’ and Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘Homeward Bound’, they have reached an online community of 250,000 followers and racked up over eight million views on YouTube.
With their hard hitting riffs and musical intensity they have established a sound loaded with melody and style. 2022 saw successful shows across UK and Europe, including supporting Eagles of Death Metal on their European tour followed by The Academic and Feeder.
They also performed at a multitude of Summer festivals, including Electric Picnic, Rock Werchter, Rock In The City and Retro C Trop, ending with a triumphant show at Trans Musicales Festival, France - not to mention their Live@Aloft set in The Liberties, with Hot Press and Aloft Hotel.
2023 has started with a bang, playing at Eurosonic Festival and a performance at the European Live Festival Awards. The band will also be heading out to Texas to play SXSW Festival at the British Music Embassy, as well as the Belfast City Output Showcase, the Official SXSW showcase and the End of the Trail showcase.
The duo will also be supporting Chris Shiflett on tour before embarking on Dea Matrona's own headline tour in May.
