Death Grips have appeared to break up according to messages from member Andy Morin.
“Yeah it's over,” Morin wrote in an Instagram DM. “Stefan doesn't want to do any more. But truthfully none of us can ever predict what will happen with the group.”

Death Grips consist of members MC Ride (Stefan Burnett) on vocals, Zach Hill on drums and Morin on keys. Known for their unique brand of experimental rap, the trio also announced their disbandment back in July of 2014.

“We are now at our best and so Death Grips is over. We have officially stopped,” they wrote on a napkin uploaded to their Facebook account. “All currently scheduled live dates are canceled.”
Since the announcement, the group went on to release four new albums. In 2023, they toured after taking a four-year hiatus.
Hill and Burnett have not yet responded to the recent post.
