The newest release 'Algorithm' is the artist's third single off his upcoming EP.
Roscommon-based live looping artist Death Milkshake has today released his third single ‘Algorithm’ along with announcing his debut EP release date and an accompanying launch show.
Death Milkshake's EP Shiny Things is set for release April 17 and promises to an experimental energetic, beat driven debut.
The EP was recorded at the artists home studio in Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon, and mixed and co-produced by celebrated Irish electronic producer Daithí at Aspen Lane Studio, Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare.
Shiny Things has its very beginnings in the meeting of artist and co-producer (Daithí) at an Ableton live workshop run by Daithí along with Irish producer Bantum as part of Hedge school Festival in Doolin Co. Clare in 2022
Speaking of the writing process Death Milkshake said: "I had been finding it difficult to find people to form a band in Roscommon, and had nearly given up on the idea altogether, but it was at that workshop that the idea of using Ableton Live to create a body of work that I could perform solo, and fully live looped, solidified in my head".

Today's single 'Algorithm' fuses a mix of LCD Soundsystem, Muse with a sprinkling Franz Ferdinand more electronic offerings making for an electronic and existential offering.
The lyrics are a comment on the divisive nature of what the internet has become, and a reminder that the various algorithms we encounter every day can shape our thoughts and feelings in ways we wouldn’t have thought possible in the past.
The song is aptly rounded off with a nod to the future by the artists 4 year old daughter speaking the prophetic words of David Bowie speaking about the internet in its beginnings in 1999.
Death Milkshake will celebrate his EP launch with a one off home town EP launch show In the historic Edmondstown house, Ballaghaderreen Co. Roscommon on Saturday April 20.
The Shiny Things EP launch will be the first show of this nature to take place in the building's 160 year history.
Support on the night from choice music prize nominated Artist Patrick Kelleher.
