Ending on March 17, the club brings together Irish music, comedy and spoken word.
DeBarra's Folk Club are celebrating Irish language and culture with Seachtain na Gaeilge 2025 in Clonakilty.
The annual festival kicked off on March 1 and extends until March 17. Events on the programme include music, comedy, spoken word and more.
Musical performers include John Spillane, Those Empty Vessels, the Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin Trio and Abair Amhrán. Áine Gallagher will also deliver a comedy act.
“People are often scared of the prospect of the Irish language” Gallagher said. “They worry that they won’t understand. But the thing I always try to stress is that I am not a fluent speaker. I am just a person who has a dorky love for the language and I want to share it in a fun and accessible way. So please come. We’ll have fun, I promise!”
