Tickets for the virtual tribute show are on sale now.
A star-studded line-up has been announced for an upcoming tribute event celebrating the musical life of New York Dolls guitarist Sylvain Sylvain – streaming online on Valentine's Day, February 14, at 7pm EST (midnight Irish time). Sylvain died on January 13, aged 69, following a battle with cancer.
The tribute show, marking what would've been the guitarist's 70th birthday, is described as "a mix of stories, performances, and videos" – featuring New York Dolls vocalist David Johansen among the line-up. Also included are Earl Slick, Debbie Harry, Clem Burke, Henry Rollins, Thurston Moore, Lenny Kaye, Glen Matlock, Ivan Julian and more.

Taking to Instagram, David Johansen recalled the first time he met his "best friend" Sylvain:
"I can still remember the first time I saw him bop into the rehearsal space/bicycle shop with his carpetbag and guitar straight from the plane after having been deported from Amsterdam, I instantly loved him. I'm gonna miss you old pal. I'll keep the home fires burning."
