The digital showcase festival will be available to view for free on the ESNS platform.
Acclaimed Irish acts Denise Chaila (pictured), JYellowL, PowPig and Enola Gay are among the artists set to play the upcoming edition of Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS), taking place from January 13–16. Due to the global pandemic, the showcase festival is going online this year – with a unique digital edition that gives ESNS the opportunity to offer emerging European talent a large stage at Eurosonic.
The showcase part of the festival will be completely free. It's recommended to register for the platform via esns.nl/tickets to get updates on new announcements and updates on the streams.
Plus, Dublin band Inhaler have been nominated for the Music Moves Europe Talent Awards – with the winners set to be revealed at an awards ceremony on January 15 during Eurosonic Noorderslag. The annual EU prize for popular and contemporary music, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme, celebrates emerging artists who represent the European sound of today and tomorrow. Other nominees include hotly tipped acts Squid, My Ugly Clementine, Crystal Murray and more.
ESNS is a non-profit, European artist only, 100% showcase festival and music conference – with a proven track record for helping break new acts on the international live music scene. The showcase event has been responsible for kickstarting the international careers of artists such as Shame, Her, Alma, Roosevelt, Aurora, Dua Lipa and many more.
