Dermot Kennedy and MOIO have collaborated with a special performance in London.

The show was part of an international tour, MOIO's World, where he plays small acoustic sets. The artist posted a TikTok with Kennedy singing a stripped back version of his single ‘Moments.’ He reached #1 on Spotify’s Viral 50 playlist in Ireland with the track, and achieved the same feat in the USA, UK, Canada, Norway, Denmark and New Zealand.

“This song is about appreciating the present,” said MOIO. “I wanted to make something that felt timeless but also connected to the everyday moments we all share.”

The track, released in October of 2023, follows his debut single 'SUNBEAMING.' Inspired by DIY bedroom pop, MOIO self-produces his music and has collaborated with artists like Aby Coulibaly and Monjola.

Kennedy, a staple in the Irish music scene, was referred to as a “legend” by MOIO. His 2019 album Without Fear was named the best-selling debut album in Ireland of this millennium, and his latest EP, I’ve told the trees everything, was released in March of 2024. He recently announced Misneach Festival, a new annual global St Patrick’s Day festival celebrating Irish culture and music.
