The YouTube gig will support the World Health Organisation Solidarity Response Fund.
Dublin singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy is offering fans the chance to have a virtual meet-and-greet tonight following his Sound Waves YouTube concert.
The live show on YouTube will support the World Health Organisation Solidarity Response Fund in the fight against Covid-19.
The 'Outnumbered' singer announced the May 20 gig on Sunday, writing a message to his fans via his Instagram page.
"I had great plans to tour for the next 12 months, but other things have had to take priority... and we are all at home," he wrote.
"So I set myself the task of replicating the feeling of a real live concert as best I can, with my band and other musicians, to make this show as special, considered and honest as it can be. How can a concert performed from home have the same impact, forge the same connections and provide beautiful escapism from the somewhat stressful and difficult realities of life?

"How can it look different to those performances when one simply ‘goes live’? This is how the Sound Waves concert idea was born, and it has been weeks in the making," the post reads.
Described as a concert "for a moment in time", the singer has said that he hopes to bring a sense of relief and "some light in a difficult time".
Kennedy released his latest EP, ‘Lost In The Soft Light’ in April. The EP is a selection of live, re-worked versions of tracks from the Irish star's debut album 'Without Fear', which landed at the top of the UK charts last October.
His sound was developed while busking on Dublin's streets, as well as Boston during a J1 summer. Busking led him to meet one of his influences, Glen Hansard, who later invited him on stage during a Christmas show.
To register for the meet-and-greet, sign up via email and tag up to five friends you'd like to bring with you. Participants will be contacted before the show and will receive a Zoom conference room link to chat with the singer.
The Sound Waves YouTube concert will start at 9pm Irish time tonight, May 20.
