Global chart sensation Dermot Kennedy has announced plans to play Thomond Park, Limerick on 7th July 2023 as part of his Sonder Tour.
Following the release of his album last week, the artist is tipped to earn a no.1 spot on the UK and Irish charts.
Alongside his Limerick announcement, Kennedy has also secured two dates to play Dublin’s Marlay Park on 23rd and 24th June 2023.
Having amassed an incredible amount of success in the artist’s relatively short career so far, the musician has become one of the fastest-selling live artists ever following a run of Irish shows this year, headlined this year’s Electric Picnic, and his debut album, Without Fear, earned its place as the biggest selling album of the millennium by any Irish artist.
Leading up to the release of his highly-anticipated second album, Kennedy’s Sonder Sessions have seen him busking globally for fans, making pop-up appearances everywhere from South America, the US, Asia and Europe, to Dublin’s own Grafton street, performing on top of Bewley’s balcony, with acoustic versions of his new tracks. He announced today that the performance raised €20,000 for Barretstown children's charity.
Sonder follows in the footsteps of the singer-songwriter’s hugely successful no.1-selling platinum debut album, which features what has been described as the most heartfelt, uplifting, and unifying set of songs.

Singles ‘Kiss Me’, ‘Something to Someone’ and ‘Better Days’, are quickly filling the shoes of prior hits as fan favourites. His accolades so far include a 2020 nomination for Best International Male BRIT award, reaching the 5 billion streams across all platforms, and becoming a best-selling artist in over 12 countries, with the likes of Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Shawn Mendes all self-proclaimed fans.
Next March sees the 30-year-old’s biggest UK tour to date, beginning in Glasgow on 31st March, finishing in London’s The O2 on April 14th.
