Dermot Kennedy tops the Official Irish Homegrown Chart with 'Outnumbered'

The Dublin singer-songwriter has fought off stiff competition from Westlife and Versatile to hold onto the top spot.

Dermot has held onto the No.1 position on this week's Official Irish Homegrown Top 20, with his latest single 'Outnumbered'. The Dublin singer-songwriter released the video for the hit song this week, and is currently gearing up for the release of his debut album, Without Fear. He also takes a second top five slot, with 'Power Over Me'.

After their Croke Park triumph over the weekend, Westlife grab No.2 and No.4 positions for 'Hello My Love' and 'Dynamite' respectively. Versatile, who announced a headline 3Arena gig this week, retain their No.3 slot with their single 'Prefontaine', and take No. 6 for 'Ketamine'.

Wild Youth, John Gibbons, Soulé, Hozier and Picture This also feature on the new Official Irish Homegrown Chart, which highlights the biggest tracks by Irish acts each week based on combined sales across physical, download and streaming. Compiled by Official Charts Company, the chart overs artists from across Ireland. Last month, Versatile became the first acts to top the chart with 'Prefontaine'.
