Heavy Flow don't do dreams, but if they did they'd probably be the most chilled and happy dreams in the world
The sun is shining, the pints are flowing freely and Ireland have just beaten Germany 3-1. Heavy Flow don’t do dreams, but if they did they’d probably be the most chilled and happy dreams in the world.
This quartet, who have taken their reggae-tainted funk around the country for many years now, have finally nailed down a self-released debut album.
The Heavy Flow posse are all very accomplished musicians in their own right, performing with the likes of London reggae band La Costa Nostra and Irish jazz stalwarts Louis Stewart and Hugh Buckley. Wisely, their collective talents are allowed to breathe in the recordings, letting their distinctive stoned groove loose to do maximum reggae ’n’ roll damage. Top marks go to the anthemic roots pop of ‘Pain’ – the best candidate for future hit single status, or at the very least a guaranteed live highlight.
Tune in and chill out.
