Ross joins Billie Eilish as one of two acts announced so far for the return of Glastonbury.
Diana Ross has been announced as one of the main artists playing next year's Glastonbury festival.
The legendary Supremes singer, fresh from releasing her twenty-fifth solo album Thank You last Friday, will take the Legends slot at the festival.
"I’m so excited and grateful to finally know, that I’ll be seeing you at Glastonbury while on my UK Thank U Tour celebrating my new album of songs, Sunday, June 26, 2022," she said in a statement yesterday.
Diana Ross was due to play the Legends slot at the 2020 edition of Glastonbury before the festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Other acts announced for the last festival yet to confirm if they will return include Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar and Paul McCartney.
"I’m thrilled to be able to let you know that the magnificent Diana Ross is coming to play at Glastonbury next summer," said festival organiser Emily Eavis. "We were so excited to book such a legend for Glastonbury 2020 and are so happy that she's the first to re-confirm for next year. "

Billie Eilish is the only headliner act announced so far for next year's edition of the legendary Worthy Farm festival.
Eilish will become the youngest headliner every when she takes to the Pyramid Stage.
