Dionne Warwick has announced two shows in Dublin and Belfast for 2024. The iconic singer will bring her ‘Don’t Make Me Over’ experience to Vicar Street on 22 May, and Ulster Hall on 26 May.
One of the most recognisable and successful voices of our time, Warwick’s journey began with humble beginnings as a gospel singer in New Jersey before becoming the second-most charted female artist in ‘Rock Era’ between in 1955-1999.
A salute to her unimpeachable music catalogue, her upcoming shows will consist of performances of her biggest hits. She will also be joined on stage by interview Dave Wooley, her band and a multimedia set up with an LED screen.
Taking excerpts from the documentary, Wooley will interview and guide Warwick while she recalls her life in her own words, supported by footage and contributions from President Bill Clinton, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Barry Gibb and many more.
81-year-old Warwick has been inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Grammy Hall of Fame, the R&B Music Hall of Fame and the Apollo Theatre Walk of Fame. In 2019 she won the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

She last performed in Ireland in 2022 as part of her farewell tour.
"After almost six decades I’ve decided it’s time to put away from touring trunk and focus on recording, one off concerts and special events," Warwick explained at the time.
"I still love performing live, but the rigours of travelling every day so far from home, sleeping in a different hotel each night, one concert after the other, is becoming hard. So, I’ve decided to stop touring on that level in Europe…. But I’m not retiring!!”
