The artist is looking to move away from pop music with a greater focus on rap in her upcoming album, while calling her previous work a "cash-grab"
Doja Cat has announced via twitter her new album is to be called ‘First of All’. The American Pop Sensation, who pulled out of headlining Longitude last year, is to release her fourth studio album.
In a confusing flurry of tweets posted last night, the 27-year-old announced the album title to her 5.5 million twitter followers. Fans and media alike had speculated the album would be named Hellmouth, after she made this her name on social media earlier this year.
its not called hEllMoUth either its called "First of All" and yes I'm announcing the album title right now.

She refuted this notion however, telling her twitter following: “Its not called hEllMoUth either its called "First of All" and yes I'm announcing the album title right now.”

This tweet followed one in which she described her previous two albums, Planet Her and Hot Pink, as “cash-grabs” and that her fans “fell for it”.

Doja Cat continued: “Now I can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while y’all weep for mediocre pop.”
Doja Cat also teased her fans with a preview of an upcoming song, which she shared with her followers on her instagram live. There has been no release date for her new music, and she is also yet to announce dates for any possible upcoming tour.
Doja’s previous work has received both popular and critical acclaim. She has won individual accolades, as well as awards for both Planet Her and Hot Pink, and an AMA for her collaboration with SZA on the track Kiss me More.
She is also currently ranked 28th in the world for monthly listeners on Spotify with over 54 million per month.
