It's #HotGirlSummer for Dolly Parton.
As a gift for her husband's birthday, Dolly Parton recreated her 1978 Playboy photoshoot.
In a clip on Twitter, captioned with "it's always #HotGirlSummer for my husband, Carl", the legendary country star explained why she was doing this.
“You’re probably wondering why I’m dressed like this,” she said while wearing a strapless black bodysuit and bunny ears. “Well, it’s for my husband’s birthday. Remember some time back I said I was gonna pose on Playboy magazine when I’m 75? Well, I’m 75 and they don’t have a magazine anymore, but my husband always loved the original cover of Playboy.”
“I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy. He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years and I’m not gonna try to talk him out of that,” Parton said.
The end of the video showed a brief clip of Parton's recreation side by side with the original photo.
Parton has been married to her husband, Carl Dean, since 1966.

Earlier this year, Parton revealed she had turned down the Presidential Medal of Freedom twice from Donald Trump, once because her husband was ill, and the second time because of high Covid-19 cases.
Parton also made headlines last year when it was revealed that she played a part in the creation of Moderna's vaccine, as she donated one million dollars to the vaccine's trial.
