The man of many talents is ready to ditch his rap moniker.
Currently in the midst of his United States-wide 'This Is America' tour, Renaissance man Donald Glover has once again confirmed that this will be his last under his celebrated rap pseudonym of Childish Gambino.
The multi-faceted rapper, singer, actor, comedian, and writer took to New York's Madison Square Garden on both Friday and Saturday night, informing concert-goers that "number one, if you’re at this show, then you know this is the last Gambino tour ever...I love you forever for supporting me and coming out. If you’re in here, that means you bought a ticket.”
This isn't the first time the star of the FX series 'Atlanta' has asserted that he'd be going through with the change in handle, having hinted as much at a show last year before then reiterating the same to reporters at the Grammy Awards earlier in January, citing his reasoning as "I like endings, I think they’re important to progress...I think endings are good because they force things to get better.”
Glover has also confirmed that his next album will be his last under the Gambino name, though it's not yet known for certain whether or not that means the end of him producing music completely.
