The Irish band are due to release the studio version of the track in January.
Recorded live by the lakeside, harmony-driven Alt-Irish Folk act Doppler have released an acoustic sneak-peek at their brand-new track 'You're The Only One Who Knows' recorded live in Pontoon.
The first in what they describe as a "live series [they] hope to continue over the next little while", the video for 'You're The Only One Who Knows' features Jamie and Mick sitting outside performing the waltz, their guitars blending in with the sound of nature as they harmonise together.
On the video, Jamie commented, “Myself and Mick recorded the audio for this out live in Pontoon using just a condenser mic (for 30 quid) and the laptop in early Dec 2023. Just the 2 guitars and our vocals using this one cheap mic. It was -3 outside and our fingers were frozen at this stage as this was the 4th song we recorded that day."
He continued, "The hope was to try and get reflections on the lake at this location but instead it was freezing fog. Still, we think it turned out 'accidentally Wes Anderson'.”
Doppler has had a good 2023: from their cracking summer single 'About You' staying at the top of the Irish charts, to serving as support for the likes of The Stunning and Alabama 3, and a sold-out show at Ballina Arts Centre alongside The Waterboys legendary fiddle player Steve Wickham.
