Music fans attended the event expecting to see DJ Khaled who was forced to pull out at from the gig at the last minute. Khaled was due to perform on the Main Stage on Sunday evening but cancelled due to "travel issue".

Fans then speculated as to who would take his place, with the Wireless Festival taking to Twitter promising something special.

The new headliner was then revealed to be Drake who performed several new songs from his latest album Scorpian .

The performance was well received by crowds, with some people opting to scaling trees in order to get a better view of the stage.

Meanwhile, Khaled was heavily criticized by his followers over his withdrawal from the event, due to a lack of apology over not attending Wireless and his latest Instagram posts of him enjoying himself on a sun holiday.
