Amiable Canadian rapper Drake is back with a new single, “Nice For What”, paying homage to independent women.
Drake teased the release of new music at a show in his hometown of Toronto last week, reportedly telling the crowd he was almost finished his new album.
This week he dropped the single, featuring a sample from Lauryn Hill's "Ex Factor". Hill was the first solo female rapper to reach No 1 on the Billboard charts.
The accompanying video features Rashida Jones, Tracee Elliss Ross, Olivia Wilde, Tiffany Haddish, Jourdan Dunne, Zoe Saldana, Issa Rae and more.
To date, Drake has released four albums - "Thank Me Later" (2010), "Take Care" (2010) "Nothing Was The Same" (2013) and "Views" (2016) - four mixtapes, one collaborative mixtape and 77 singles, 52 of which were features. He holds the record for the most number one singles on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop charts, with 16.
Fans are absolutely loving both the song and the message
