Adonis Graham releases his debut single at just six years old, quickly following in his famous father’s footsteps. Drake shared his son’s music video for ‘My Man Freestyle’ today, celebrating his sixth birthday with a jumpstart to his music career.

The video shows Adonis and his friends playing basketball indoors, with Drake’s son instructing his fellow players on game strategy and giving a pep talk, working out and singing along with his friends to the track.

Adonis also featured on Drake’s recently released album For All the Dogs, for which the child drew the album cover art. He appeared in the beginning of the video for album single ‘8am in Charlotte,’ showing off a drawing of a goat he made. When Drake asks him, from behind the camera, about the drawing, Adonis says, “It’s Daddy Goat,” to which Drake replies, “That makes perfect sense to me.”

Adonis first teased ‘My Man Freestyle’ with a verse on his father’s recent album, on the track ‘Daylight.’ The six-year-old comes in at the end of the song with the original flow, over a smooth, retro beat.

Fans are sharing a video on Twitter/X of Drake’s son performing the track live at his birthday party, standing on a platform beside his friends as party-goers cheer him on.

Adonis, the child of Drake and French artist Sophie Brussaux. Brussaux and the Canadian rapper had a short and mostly private relationship in 2017, first photographed on a date in Amsterdam during the rapper’s Boy Meets World Tour.

Born October 2017, the rapper waited until 2020 to share Adonis with the public, explaining that he wanted the freedom of keeping his son private during the early years of his life.

However, he first confirmed his fatherhood on the 2018 album Scorpion, rapping, “I wasn’t hidin’ my kid from the world / I was hidin’ the world from my kid.”

Drake’s new album For All the Dogs is out now on all streaming services. It was recently revealed that Her Loss, a collaborative project from Drake and 21 Savage, has been nominated for Grammy consideration.
