The National Concert Hall in association with the Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) have announced the sixth concert in their Drawing from the Well series, which gathers Ireland’s finest traditional musicians, singers and dancers to the NCH stage to showcase their work inspired by ITMA’s rich archival collections.
The upcoming concert will feature performances from Iarla Ó Lionáird (singer); Louise, Michelle and Mick Mulcahy (uilleann pipes, concertina, harp, flute, accordion); Zoë Conway (fiddle); Seán McKeon (uilleann pipes); Síle Denvir (harp and singer); Iarfhlaith Ó Domhnaill (fiddle); Natalie Ní Chasaide (piano, fiddle, concertina); Cathal McConnell (tin whistle, flute, singer); Doireann Ní Ghlacáin (fiddle); Liam O’Brien (concertina); Stephanie Keane (sean nós dancer) and West Kerry band Cuas.
Devised by the Irish Traditional Music Archive and presented in association with the National Concert Hall, Drawing from the Well connects Ireland’s leading contemporary traditional performers with archival materials to inspire new artistic endeavours.
