Tickets to see the Boston band rock the Dublin stage go on sale this Friday.
The Boston Irish punk band Dropkick Murphys have announced a date for Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens this July 7. Tickets to see these Celtic rockers are set to go on sale this Friday at 9am through Ticketmaster.
Known for their uproarious live shows and huge sound, Dropkick Murphys recently returned to fully electric performances following a pair of critically acclaimed acoustic albums – 2022's This Machine Still Kills Fascists and 2023’s Okemah Rising – interpreting the work of Woody Guthrie for a new generation. The latter of which was described by Hot Press' Edwin McGee as having "plenty of blood and thunder".
The albums, recorded in Tulsa with trusted collaborator and producer Ted Hutt, exposed the band to new audiences through airplay on stations that they wouldn't normally be played on, and through Dropkick Murphys’ first-ever acoustic, reserved-seating theatre tour in 2022.

However in spite of the success of their recent acoustic renditions, the band is ready to get back to what they do best and play a hair-raising, rabelaisian rock 'n' roll live show. The band is best known for their distinctive Celtic punk rock fusion, which has produced such notable hits as 'Rose Tattoo' and 'I'm Shipping up to Boston'. Their immense discography includes 4 Billboard top ten albums.
Dropkick Murphys will play Live at The Iveagh Gardens, Dublin on July 7. Tickets will be priced at €48.20 and will go on sale this Friday Feb 2nd at 9am. Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.ie
