Four Waves will celebrate a diverse range of ddr. residents and Irish artists, including R.Kitt, Fears (pictured), Sunken Foal, Eomac, Sim Simma, Natalia Beylis and more.
To celebrate their four years on air, the team behind Dublin Digital Radio have announced Four Waves – a showcase of audiovisual livestreams, video gigs, conversations and more, kicking off online at the stroke of midnight on Saturday, December 12.
Across the 24-hour-long celebrations, you can expect sets from the likes of R.Kitt, Sim Simma and Eliza; genre-defying video experiments; sleep concerts and more – with celebrations taking place between ddr.'s home of Jigsaw, near Mountjoy Square in Dublin; ddr.’s studio in The Complex in Smithfield; and Cork’s Rebel Reads.
“We wanted to celebrate the fourth birthday of ddr. with a splash so we have taken the plunge into the world of audio visual streaming for Four Waves," says ddr.'s Cathy Flynn. "We all miss our favourite venues, so we wanted to give you all a peek inside Jigsaw as part of the party. You will also experience some video art, and live performances and DJs sets from Cork and beyond!"
After costs are covered, all proceeds raised from Four Waves are going to the artists. The event is open to everyone, but donations can be made through Eventbrite and PayPal.
