Irish mainstays The Pale have been announced as another act on the Judge Roy Beans line-up this week.
The Dublin music veterans got their start busking on Grafton Street over 30 years ago. During their immensely rewarding time together, the band have released 13 albums and performed numerous tours across the world, including places like Russia, Japan, and Eastern Europe. Hot Press wrote that their 13th studio album, Merciful Hour, had a "chameleon-like ability for change."
The outfit started in Dublin's Northside in 1990, cutting their teeth busking on Dublin's Grafton street, alongside fellow musicians like Kila, Paddy Casey, Mic Christopher and Glen Hansard.
Judge Roy Beans have an exciting array of Irish talent lined up over the days ahead – as the beloved venue in Newbridge, Co. Kildare reopens its doors for live concerts.
Judge Roy Beans isn't just an award-winning steakhouse and bar – it's also an acclaimed music venue, and has provided a space for artists to rehearse and record since 2011.
So, it’s no surprise that it remains at the heart of music as we gradually emerge from lockdown restrictions. Despite the challenges of the past year-and-a-half, the venue has been keeping the spirit of live music alive with their Summer of Music 2021 programme – which featured recorded performances from legendary artists Donal Lunny & Paddy Glackin, Jerry Fish and more.

The venue will welcome audiences back inside their spectacular Upstairs room to see The Pale, The Frank & Walters, Mack Fleetwood, Kíla, Appo & The Disappointments and In The Space Between.
This project has been part-funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, from the Live Performance Support Scheme. Tickets to the upcoming live shows are available now.
