North Dublin quartet Bullet Girl are finally embarking on tour dates outside of Ireland.
Dublin outfit Bullet Girl has announced a five-date tour across the UK in November.
Earlier this year, the band sold out their shows at County Kerry’s Mike The Pies as well as The Button Factory in Dublin. The gigs across the water will be the first time the quartet has toured outside of Ireland.
Drawing influence from the Pixies and Sonic Youth, the band - made up of guitarist Dylan Keenan, singer Aaron Doyle, bassist Tony Keyes, and drummer Noel Dempsey- has developed their unique grungy noise-punk style. The band, a mainstay in the Dublin circuit for the past three years, is known for tackling controversial subjects, such as homelessness, suicide, corruption, and drug abuse.
Last year saw the rising noise-rock quartet release singles 'Concrete Bed', 'Hatred', 'Panic 2020' and 'Whacked'. Before Covid hit; a national tour was booked, a slot at Aiken's Eastbound was secured, their debut performance at Electric Picnic was scheduled and they were on course to sell out their first headline show at Thomas House.
The North Dublin group has recently finished recording a brand new EP alongside Girl Band’s Daniel Fox. The four-track project, written through a series of late night sessions in lockdown is due to release in Spring 2022.

“Our aim was to write an EP that reflected the similar experiences we had growing up,” says guitarist Dylan Keenan. “We’ve all been friends since we were teenagers and now as adults in our early twenties we are able to reflect on our youth with a newfound sense of perspective. Even in the more politically charged moments on the EP we were always focused on keeping the songs deeply rooted in our own personal experiences.”
The band will play the following dates across the UK in November:
Sun, 14/11 - retro bar manchester, uk.
Wed, 17/11 - the washington sheffield, uk.
Thu, 18/11 - amersham arms london, uk.
