Avante garde, Dublin-based punk outfit Meryl Streek have pushed boundaries consistently since the release of their debut 2022 album, 796. Tipped as a Hot Press Hot For 2023 Act, the searing live act will end a shining year with a special Xmas headline gig at Dublin’s Workman’s Club on Saturday, December 23, in support of Merchants Quay Ireland.
Tickets go on sale today, with advance prices set at €12 via Eventbrite. Presented by Stress Eating Art and Venn Records, Meryl Streek will be joined with support from Dublin’s Clay Pigeon Shooting and Galway band Adore. The gig will host raffles throughout the night, with first pressing records and other hamper goodies with all proceeds in support of Merchants Quay Ireland, aiding Homeless and Drugs Services.
Meryl Streek is set to play new songs and material that will feature on the second album release due out early next year, making it an event not to be missed. With their infectious brand of cutting edge punk, Meryl Streek’s visceral commentary on modern life, blending the personal and political, has made them a must-watch rising talent in the Dublin punk scene.

Dublin natives Clay Pigeon Shooting made waves during their set at Glastonbury this summer. The band broke onto the scene in 2022 with their debut song 'vincent van pox,’ and have since sold out The Workman's Club and Whelan's mainstage, and headlined The Grand Social earlier this year.
Flip over the bill to Adore, Galway’s pop-art punksters who bring their scuzzy sound to life with their euphoric live gigs. Guitarist and vocalist Lara Minchin formed the band in early 2022, after departing from her former band called GIF, bringing drummer Naoise Jordan Cavanagh with her and completing the trio with Lachlann Ó Fionnáin on bass and vocals.
