The album few beers released Wednesday 30th August and features multiple collaborations with other UK/Ireland based artists.
The Dublin artist Luke Walsh, known under the moniker Walshy, released his debut album few beers this weekend. A genre-defying collaborative effort, he combines elements of teenage indie, hip-hop and dream-pop to create a record that continues his distinctive sound.
The 11-track record proves Walshy's knack for collaborations, with features from other Irish/UK artists on more than half of the songs. It includes several previously released tracks including 'mm mm good (in the cellar)', 'Confrontation' and songs from this year's EP Just Walk Away.
My first album, "few beers", is out now.
I've put blood, sweat and beers into this thing and it feels so good to finally have it out.

Hot Press recently featured his track 'mm mm good (in the cellar)' as its track of the day, a song whose Dublin roots are deep-seated: it was recorded in the popular Dublin spot the Workman's Cellar. He held a long-awaited album release party there last week, featuring bonus sets from Curtisy, lowkick, domtavlor, Susy Good, and Fizzy Selects.

Walshy called the album a representation of how his mind works. "The project from beginning to end is a perfect map of my mind and all the directions it went in over 2020-2021," he said about few beers in a statement. "I have created each track to link directly into the next, both sonically and in terms of their meaning (you will find parts of songs dispersed feeding into/out of various intros and outros). Certain tracks like 'Just Walk Away' and 'A note to all my friends, family and very few enemies' can seem like they’re messy and all over the place in terms of structure and what I’m singing about."
