"New Music, New Album, New Line-Up" - Skanger are embarking on a new era.
Dublin rock group Skanger are set to release their first post-pandemic single 'Dim the Lights' on April 28th.
The track is the first release to come from the group's highly anticipated debut album Love And Violence, which is set to drop later this year.
“'Dim The Lights' is a song about letting yourself live a positive life... and that getting out of your own way, to live as good a life as your situation allows, will lead to better days," said frontman Mark Healy.
The reflective track speaks on regrets, ruminating on self improvement and growth. "I hope I outlive my regrets / drinkers remorse will make you reflect," croons singer Healy in the latter half of the track.
Skanger first debuted during the pandemic as a duo, made up of musicians Mark Healy and Colin Morris. The two released three critically acclaimed singles during the time– ‘A Chance To Count The Cost,' ‘Mistakes' and debut release 'Condolences,' which explored the journey from childhood into adulthood.

Now– Morris and Healy have parted ways, and Skanger has turned into a fully fledged band with Terry Hackett on drums and famed producer Ingmar Kiang on bass.
'Dim The Lights' was produced by Kiang, whose previous recording credits include Bob Marley’s worldwide hit Iron Lion Zion, and tracks by U2, Power of Dreams, Damien Dempsey and many others.
Skanger will be performing live this summer and urge listeners to watch their social media accounts for updates.
'Dim the Lights' is set for release on streaming platforms April 28th.
