The track is due to release on December 29th, and sees McWilliams put her own spin on a no-frills love song.
Dublin-based alt-pop queen Lucy McWilliams has announced the release of her latest single 'Follow Me', the last of three singles out this year.
Speaking about the upcoming track, she explains, "Follow me at its core is just a straightforward love song. It’s about being excited about someone, and feeling all the possibilities of the world in that person. At a time, that was a different kind of love that I hadn’t experienced. I think it’s a weird feeling, going through different relationships, but never really feeling loved. But then stumbling upon someone and within a small window of time, suddenly feeling at ease."

Due to come out on December 29th, it's the end of a great year for McWilliams who has seen much success with her previous singles. 'Follow Me' is McWilliams' third single this year, following 'Slow Dancing' and last month's 'Plastic'.
Emotional narratives are at the centre of the singer’s songwriting, which has garnered her over 16 million streams on Spotify alone. Based in London, McWilliams keeps her Irish storytelling link strong through her tender, heartfelt lyrics and relatable songs.

This new release expands the artist’s genre umbrella even wider, with a discography that roams from expansive indie to slinky R&B, swaying acoustic pop to ‘90s-rom-com-style rock.
Having previously supported Inhaler and Two Door Cinema Club on tour, as well as a sold-out Dublin show, Lucy most recently played a set at the coveted Other Voices in Dingle last month.
