Following the release of 'London Bridge' last month, John Lynch has announced a headline show at The Moat Theatre in Naas, Co. Kildare for August 6.
Having worked away from home for many years, John returned to Dublin in 2019 – and began focusing on his music career, writing and performing live. Like countless other emerging artists, however, his efforts were upended by the arrival of the global pandemic.
Undeterred, he continued on writing and recording his debut album, City Stars – due for release in Autumn 2021. City Stars is a collection of ten tracks about modern life in Ireland and the world, through the familiar storytelling of folk music.
Combining a contemporary touch with the spirit of the ballads he learned while growing up in Dublin, John guides the audience on an emotional journey down through the years and back again.

'London Bridge' is the first of three singles before the album release. It's a poignant exploration of John's experience of working away from home in London, and offers a promising taste of what to expect from City Stars.
John's next single, 'The Wind At Your Back', is out on July 30. See his website, Instagram and Facebook for more information. Listen to 'London Bridge' below:
