The emerging five-piece have just finished up a support run for English rockers Wunderhorse.
Dublin-based rockers Basht. have announced their first London show, due to take place at the Sebright Arms on Wednesday, June 28th.
Having risen from the ashes of the Covid-19 lockdowns, starting as a quartet, the now-quintet are combining new-wave bass lines, hip-hop-inspired drum beats, and raw guitar riffs with a classic rock and roll energy.
"Getting to play a string of shows in London in February was an amazing experience, and we really appreciate all the support we received, and it was great to see so many familiar faces in the crowds!" Basht. told Hot Press of the news. "We’re very excited to get back to London to put on our own headline show in June!"
Formed in November 2021, in the past year, Basht. have performed at Forbidden Fruit, Otherside and Eyries, Dublin's Culture Night and St Patrick's Festival. Lead vocalist Jack Leavey, guitarists Sam Duffy and Rossa Healy, bassist Louis Christle and drummer Luke O’Neill previously performed three free gigs in the UK earlier this year.

Selling out both of their Irish headline shows in 2022 - The Workman’s Cellar in March and The Grand Social on Halloween - they began by bringing unbelievable energy to their free show in Blackbird, Rathmines.
As well as supporting UK rockers Wunderhorse, Basht. have also been chosen as special guests for Sorry and modernlove. The rising outfit are currently recording their debut EP, having released four tracks - 'Tomorrow', 'Never Love.', '456.' and 'RCKNRLLA.' - since their formation.
“The five-piece have been identified by music business insiders as one of the most exciting young rock bands to emerge in Ireland in eons,” editor of Hot Press, Niall Stokes wrote of the new act.
“You can immediately hear that these guys know what they’re at,” Hot Press editor Niall Stokes said of the emerging act, having highlighted them as Hot for 2023. “It is early days of course, but there are times when the first record is enough to set the pulse racing – and this is one of them. BASHT. also sound like a fine live proposition, made for a big festival stage. This really could be the start of something big."
