The concert will feature an original rearrangement of a Kate Bush classic
Dulciana Vocal Ensemble have announced a 'Snowflake' Christmas concert at the Sandford Parish Church in Ranelagh, Dublin, on December 16.
This year's iteration of the award-winning chamber choir's annual gig will feature an original rearrangement of Kate Bush's 'Snowflake', as well as old and new works, including Holst, Nangle and Poston.
The concert is the penultimate performance of 2024 for Dulciana Vocal Ensemble, and caps off a year which saw them recognised as first runners up in the prestigious ‘Ireland’s Choir of the Year’ competition at the 2024 Cork International Choral Festival. The choir will conclude the year with a television performance on RTÉ One's Christmas in Kildare on Christmas Eve.
Celebrating ten years as a choir in 2025, Dulciana Vocal Ensemble has performed with the likes of Dowry Strings and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. They've won first prize at several top choral competitions in Ireland over the years, including Best Overall Choir and Best Performance of a Contemporary Irish Work in RTÉ Lyric FM’s Choirs for Christmas in 2022, and in the equal voice competition at the Derry Choral Festival in 2022 and 2019.
