The mythical space rockers plan to release their new album this December.
When you think of influential indie bands Duster probably doesn't come to mind. They're not universally known, but if you ask any fan of the 90's lo-fi scene they're one of the greats. Duster was at the forefront of a genre now known as slowcore, which features downtempo grooves and spacious chords. The style has recently seen a resurgence of interest thanks to bands like Horse Jumper of Love and Cigarettes After Sex, the former of which opened for Duster on their reunion tour this year. They also received a comprehensive boxset release from the premier reissue label The Numero Group.
Now, at this fitting moment, the band has announced their first record in nineteen years will be out in December. Featuring twelve new offerings, fans can't wait to see the legendary group come out of the shadows. Check out the cover art from artist Salvatore Olentino below:
