Possible ploy by Thom Yorke to make himself look good in comparison...
Extract from Freyne’s journal – “March 2007 – Could all these singers who sound like Thom Yorke actually be Thom Yorke?! Could he be engaged in some sort of bizarre art-music experiment, putting his discarded demos out into the world in some sort of comment about mass production in the age of the internet?
“But why are these bands so turgidly mediocre? My source says it’s a ploy to ensure that Radiohead look good by comparison. But I must investigate further. I have arranged to meet a music industry insider today in an abandoned building on the outskirts of town. Must make sure not to be followed.”
The current whereabouts of Hot Press reviewer Patrick Freyne are unknown.
Key Track: ...DO I have to?
