Limerick band Dylan Flynn & The Dead Poets have unveiled a new video for 'The Story After They're Gone' – directed and edited by Jamie Moore and shot by Wojciech Kwiatkowski. The video follows the narrative of the song, set in familiar rooms and locations close to the band's heart.
Flynn stated: "This track talks about losing friends and family, and we wanted to capture that in visual form. We began creating scenes that felt like memories of moments spent with close ones, and as the video moves along, we wanted to show those memories falling apart."

The band released their debut album in 2023, following up with a tour, including performances in Limerick, Galway, Belfast, London, Cork, and Dublin. With nearly 1,000,000 streams on Spotify, Dylan Flynn & The Dead Poets have gained attention for their unique blend of Jangle-Pop and Alt-Rock influences.
Their latest single, 'The Story After They're Gone,' is part of an upcoming EP towards a sound they describe as "indie-twang."

Lead singer and producer, Dylan Flynn said, "When thinking about how we wanted our new stuff to sound, the idea of leaning into Country music kept coming up. We had used a lot of slide guitar, 12-strings, and acoustics before, so it felt like a natural progression."
The track, written, recorded, and self-produced in the band's studio space in Limerick City, features collaborations with longtime collaborator Mike Gavin and mastering by Richard Dowling. Flynn & The Dead Poets aim to connect with "twentysomethings living in a country that completely ignores them," focusing their energy on live performances and self-produced releases.
