Legendary rock band the Eagles have announced a UK residency at the new Co-op Live in Manchester as part of their Long Goodbye tour. Joining them at the largest indoor arena in Britain are fellow Hall of Famers Steely Dan.
In addition to the three Manchester dates on May 31, June 1 & 4 , is a newly added show at the GelreDome in Arnhem, The Netherlands on June 13.
Since forming in 1971, the Eagles have sold over 150million albums across the word, scoring six No.1s in the process. The band’s Greatest Hits 1971-1977 remains the highest selling-album in American history and in 1998 they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
In a letter to fans, the band reflected upon their “52-year odyssey”, thanking fans and their “longtime management team, dedicated road crew, and exceptional backup musicians for providing skilled and steadfast support.”

“We know how fortunate we are, and we are truly grateful,” read the statement. “Our long run has lasted far longer than any of us ever dreamed. But, everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle.
“We want to give all our fans a chance to see us on this final round. So, scheduling information will be released as dates are set. The difficulties of booking venues for multiple nights may require us to return to certain cities, depending on demand. But, we hope to see as many of you as we can, before we finish up.
“Most importantly, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for embracing this band and its music. At the end of the day, you are the reason we have been able to carry on for over five decades. This is our swan song, but the music goes on and on.”
