Easy Love
As Replete, Kilkenny's Peter Lawlor combines indecipherable, dissected vocals, spooked beats and moody electronics to thrillingly swoonworthy effect; 'Easy Love' is chock full of rhythmic twists and turns, as one melody gets ruthlessly devoured by another. Subtle throwback frills give the track a chilly '80s vibe, but Lawlor's methods, which include what I can only assume is inception-style sampling, are forward-thinking enough to nudge him out of parody country.
