New wave English outfit Echo and the Bunnymen have announced a string of shows across the UK and Ireland starting at Dublin’s Olympia theatre.
Following their sold-out May dates, the band will play 8 shows later this year as they gear up to release their new album The Stars, The Oceans and The Moon on October 5th.
Fans who pre-order the album from the bands online shop before 10am on Wednesday the 30th of May will get exclusive access to tickets for their UK shows before general sale.
Recorded in The Dog House Studios with co-producer Andy Wright, the new album will see the band attempt to reinterpret 13 songs from their extensive back catalogue along with the addition of 2 new tracks ‘The Somnanbulist’ and ‘How Far’.
The first track ‘Seven Seas’, which was originally a top 20 hit for the band in 1984, is now available to stream and download.
Echo and the Bunnymen will perform at the Olympia theatre on Friday the 12th October. Tickets go on sale June 1st at 10am and can be purchased from Ticketmaster.
