Ed Sheeran has announced that he has "come off Twitter completely" in response to the negativity he has dealt with on the site.
"There's nothing but people saying mean things," the British singer-songwriter said of his Twitter feed. "One comment ruins your day. But that's why I've come off it."
Sheeran said that he recently underwent an onslaught of abuse from Lady Gaga fans, who mistakenly thought he had spoken ill of her in an interview, and that that was a factor in his decision to quit the social media platform. "I think Twitter gets on a massive steam roll of assuming things and then you get in the s***."
