Eels frontman Mark 'E' Oliver Everett, who has been playing music since he was 6, has been the band's only consistent member since its formation in 1991.
American rock band Eels have announced the dates for their 2022 tour of the UK and Europe. After beginning the tour in Belfast on March 11, they will perform at Dublin's Olympia Theatre on March 12.
Led by frontman Mark 'E' Oliver Everett – who has been the band's only consistent member since it formed in 1991 – Eels released their latest album, Earth to Dora, in October 2020. The video for 'Are We Alright Again,' their single from last November, features American actor Jon Hamm.
In a statement about the tour announcement, Everett explained that the tour is going to be "an extra-special treat" because of the band's "pent-up energy" due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We always have the greatest time playing live, but this is gonna get crazy," he said. "Attendees may want to keep their cameras rolling, because we may explode."
