Hosted at The Playground with all proceeds going to BeLong To in support of LGBTI+ people in Ireland, the event returns for a third week. Snatch a ticket now to enjoy a tranquil night of connecting with fellow music-lovers and discovering your new favourite Irish talent.
For four Mondays in October, Éiru is showcasing Ireland’s most exciting female and non-binary artists in Dublin’s artist production hub, The Playground. After a sold-out second week, the event returns on Monday, October 17 at 6:30pm with performances from Maria Kelly, HALLI and katie phelan.
All proceeds from the brand-new series of close-knit shows go toward BeLong To, the national organisation supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI+) young people in Ireland. The shows are made possible thanks to CWB, Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and the Night-Time Economy Support Scheme.
Monday will feature a performance from Maria Kelly, whose tender alt-folk music you’ll recognise as the soundtrack for Sally Rooney’s Conversations With Friends series trailer. Her recently-released debut album, The Sum of the In-between, amassed 4 Million streams and garnered the artist quite a crowd. After supporting the likes of Kodaline, Orla Gartland, and Ailbhe Reddy, Kelly is back in the studio working on her second album.

Synth pop songwriter and producer HALLI is also on the lineup for Monday evening. After supporting Hozier and Hudson Taylor on tour in the states in 2018, HALLI’s own 2021 singles ‘Body Never Lies’ and ‘Your Love (My Way)’ blew up on streaming services. Utilising her background in visual arts through the mediums of film, photography, interviews, AR and VR in her projects, HALLI’s art offers something enticing to most everyone.
With her warm acoustic guitar and delicate yet confessional vocals, katie phelan is more than equipped to take on Monday evening at the tranquil Éiru showcase. The indie folk-pop singer enjoyed a sold-out headline show at Dublin’s Workman’s Cellar at the end of 2021, right off the back of her first two singles amassing more than a quarter of a million streams. Her sound mixes lofi samples with authentic guitar prowess, attracting a crowd that earned her a festival slot at this year’s Electric Picnic and as the support act for Hudson Taylor in Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre.
With tickets priced at just €5, the night is sure to be worth your money. Éiru transforms The Playground into a peaceful palace laden with bean bags and cosy blankets, inviting you to indulge in a hot cuppa in a mellow environment surrounded by the sound of fresh music.
