Electro-songstress presents new, uplifting track with video about childhood summers by the sea.
Electronic music artist Elaine Mai has released a new track inspired by summer days spent as a child on the beach. "Enniscrone," named after the beach town in County Sligo, brings back memories of childhood wonder. Mai describes the track with nostalgia, saying, "Enniscrone was a place of total joy for me when I was a kid as I used to go there with my cousins every summer. For me this track sums up that time in my life, the feeling of being young and not having a care in the world."
The track comes off her upcoming EP, The Colour of the Night, set for release in early 2017. The album promises to be an emotional look at the universal experiences of grief and finding hope through the hard times. This is the first solo EP that Mai has released since 2014, but since then, she's been busy working on new remixes and collaborative projects such as the track Rocamadour which she produced along with Irish artist, Daithí. She also wrote and produced the music for Finem Respice, a play which received great acclaim during its sold out run at the 2016 Tiger Dublin Fringe Festival.
