Charli XCX owns the Electric Arena at Electric Picnic - 90s style.
Earlier we claimed that no one could be as cool as Finnish singer Alma. Well, Charli XCX definitely gives her friend a run for her money. The UK singer put on one hell of a show, including savage dance moves and lots of booty shaking.
One thing is set in stone from the beginning: This teenage audience came to party. Thankfully, Charli XCX has got the party playlist ready (or should we say mixtape?). It includes bangers such as 'I Love It', '1999' and 'Fancy'. Every single one of these songs immediately strikes a match with the audience who was singing along the whole time. Let me tell you: These sing alongs were ear-piecing.
One might say Charli XCX is the queen of collaborations, as almost every feature she does becomes a hit. Another example: 'Gone' featuring Christine and the Queens. How fortunate that the French singer-songwriter was around to join her on stage - Christine and the Queens was set to perform later that night.
Their performance was definitely one of the highlights of XCX's set. Of course the fans went wild when Christine and the Queens came on stage and the excitement was definitely justified. The two hyped each other up, even starting a proper dance-off in the middle of the song.

Her collaboration song '1999' with Troye Sivan wasn't the only 90s tribute in Charli XCX's set. She also played a remix-version of 'Wannabe'. Needless to say, the crowd loved and knew every word to it (who doesn't?). After all, the Spice Girls always guarantee party mood.
If we know one thing after this show, it's this: Charli XCX knows how to party - and the Electric Picnic audience was happy to join!
